starting the migration

I'm trying to figure out how to make all these disparate platforms work & also migrate posts I want to keep from my tumblr b/c honestly fuck them. Gonna start with moving some text-based stuff off of tumblr to here. I... guess I'll try to space them out? I miss having a queue.

Instead of spacing them out, what you can do is that when you're posting the entry, pop open the "edit date" menu to set the date to when it was originally posted on Tumblr so it's all in order. When you do that, there'll be a little check mark that asks "show on reading pages?" Set that to "no" and then it'll appear in your blog, in order, but won't show up on your subscribers' reading pages in a big chunk. So you can post a master-list maybe, when you're done, on your reading page, if you want your subscribers to know your old content is there-- but then you can post it in as big a chunk as you like without transforming your subscribers' reading pages into a firehose of all-you all the time.
